Her love of gaited horses started with her grandfather, a horseman from the beautiful rolling hills of west Tennessee. 

In 1995 Alicia thought she might never realize her dream...she got cancer.  After rumors of her early demise proved to be false by her ultimate survival, she purchased her first Fox Trotter, Star.  Hence the name, Star Gait Fox Trotters!

Today, Alicia devotes her life to raising the best, most versatile Fox Trotters on the planet, a few favorite charities and a busy real estate business in New Mexico.
